How it works
Game lifecycle

From draft to final whistle

Every game moves through these stages in order.

01

Draft

The game exists but isn't visible to players yet.

  • Organizer sets date, time, location, and lock time
  • Game details can be edited freely
  • Players are selected but not yet notified
  • Organizer opens the game when ready
02

Open

The game is live. Players are invited and can RSVP.

  • Players receive invitations and confirm or decline
  • Players can change their RSVP at any time
  • Roster and headcount are visible to all members
  • Organizer can add walk-ins or manage the roster
  • RSVP closes automatically when the lock time is reached
03

Locked

The RSVP cutoff has passed. The lineup is final.

  • No new RSVPs are accepted
  • Organizer reviews the confirmed roster
  • Organizer can still add walk-ins manually
  • Organizer randomizes teams when ready
04

Randomized

Teams have been balanced and revealed.

  • Teams are generated from player ratings
  • All players see their team assignment
  • Organizer can re-roll for a different split
  • Organizer marks the game completed after play
05

Completed

The game is done.

  • Game record is archived
  • Voting for Player of the Match opens (if enabled)
  • Historical stats are preserved

A game can be cancelled at any stage. All players receive a notification immediately.
